STAD, working closely with the designer CAPS of London, is completing work on a new flagship location for the iconic jeweler. Moving to Madison Avenue represented an opportunity to re-think the brand and present an updated palette that will be luxurious while also being crisp and welcoming. The project will open by Thanksgiving 2016.
Bulgari
STAD, working with Studio Sclavi of Rome, is completing a mini-rollout of shops for this classic luxury brand. With New York, Short Hills, Washington DC, and Orlando completed, we are focusing on Chicago. This shop on Michigan Avenue was begun before the others but required a redesign midway through and is now in production. All the shops will debut their new concepts for materials and lighting and display the continuing evolution of this signature LVMH brand.
Elie Saab
Construction work on this sophisticated label has finally begun on upper Madison Avenue. Working with Paris designer RDAI, we are assisting the parties to open their first US flagship shop. The boutique will encompass 2 floors, providing a simple yet elegant environment that will prominently display the broad collection of women’s couture. The luxurious materials and dramatic elements will energize a challenging space and provide dramatic contrast with the fabrics and accessories.
FD Gallery
Located just off Madison Avenue, this bespoke Gallery of fine jewelry and art objects is moving to larger quarters. STAD, along with Studio Sofield, is completing a total rebuilding of a classic townhouse to provide 4 floors of salon-type viewing rooms. The palette of luxurious materials coupled with classic symmetrical design elements and finishes and custom fabricated display fixtures will allow this eclectic collection to really show to greater advantage than in their previous venue.
Georg Jensen
STAD is working with a global design consortium to help this maker of classic metalwork and jewelry relocate along Madison Avenue. With multiple contributions from a variety of countries, we have been pulling together diverse input to develop a more modern, light wood palette while retaining their Scandinavian roots to advantageously display their familiar sinuous shapes, produced in both silver and stainless steel.
Smallbone Showrooms
We are currently working with this well-known designer of bespoke millwork and furniture to establish a forward-thinking showcase/idea studio in a thriving downtown location. Sharing a building with both the Cadillac showroom and TED Talks, the large ground floor space will be divided into numerous vignettes to present a wide array of idea options in the many materials, lighting and other products that can be woven into today’s home environment.
Ermenegildo Zegna
This luxury men’s clothing maker is moving to a new 3-story emporium at the crossroads of West 57th Street and 5th Avenue. Situated in the heart of the reimagined Crown Building and working with Peter Marino to fully express their aspirations, this classic Italian brand is looking to the future with a store opening projected in the next 18 months.
Indian Creek, Miami Beach
STAD is partnering with the new US venture of Lissoni Inc of Milan to assist this iconic designer expand their sleek style to new markets. The first of these projects will be the reworking of a developing residential complex in the popular beach community. It will include a Sales Center and development of most of the public areas as well as more intimate design elements for the individual units.
